Home Schoolers Aren’t Fat

MARYLAND–A group of homeschoolers get together every Monday and Thursday to test for the Presidential Physical Fitness Challenge. They do push-ups, pull-ups, mile runs, sprints, and stretches.

ATO has gone in and done a first hand report from the track and field these homeschoolers were using, and got some video footage of what’s going on there…(Video in extended post)

These kids were working hard, and many were recieving the Presidential Award and National Award. They were doing a great job out there on the track.

As you can see by the video, there were a pretty large number of homeschoolers as well as homeschooling parents taking part.

This takes place every year, and believe me, you are phyisically fit by the end.

Last year, the homeschooling group won the State Championship for the Presidential Physical Fitness, actually beating all other schools in the state.

So, can you run that mile?

Well done again…You know, I was thinking about this whole video thing and it makes your blog a whole lot more professional…puts a genuine human face to the words on the screen. Very cool.

A great idea. Just one problem. My tin cans and string (here in Taiwan) just wasn’t able to load it. I’ve been having some problems on my end but finally got the load on some of the other vids. (The National’s game loaded pretty fast, others, well … .) I thought you should know.

    All the best

Yes. I think my next video will be much easier to download. Please forgive me for that. I think it had to do with the size of the video…I tried to get some better quality, but I think people want to download it more than they care about quality.
